Every Saturday when the weather is fine, hundreds of car enthusiasts in Virginia, D.C., Maryland and neighboring states wake up early to bring their automotive treasures to this 7-to-9 a.m. gathering about half an hour west of Washington, D.C. Usually, most attendees come and go, with some staying only for a short while. Many show up sporadically, some with a different car each time, so most cars tend to be different from one Saturday to the next, practically making every visit worthwhile.

I joined the gathering on April 29, 2017, as it was winding down and thinning out. The weather was not great, so the turnout (in cars and people) was below par for this event. As usual, I photographed whatever cars caught my eye, whether or not I had photographed them before.
