Pholiota alnicola RSPB Lowfields Reserve Collingham Notts 11-10-2020 its bright yellow colours and scales and growing on old log (possibly alder) in damp conditions are typical of the species. Here not long emerged and with velar remains which soon disappear. Not uncommon in suitable places. Photo taken by a visitor to the site.
