Asheville, North Carolina - March 2009

We spent 3 days in Asheville, North Carolina, and went to see the Biltmore Estate on one day. It is amazing; it reminds us of the palace in Versailles, France. They don't allow photography inside the estate, so my photos are all of the buildings and grounds. It was well worth the 7-hour drive from Charlottesville. The "city" of Asheville is very artsy, lots of good restaurants. We were glad we were there off-season - must be mobbed in the summertime!
