Great composition. The moon confuses me a bit.
It looks like it's waxing, about four days before
full moon; so it would rise in the late afternoon,
a few hours before sunset. I would guess that this
photo was taken maybe an hour after moonrise,
which would be an hour or so before sunset.
But it also looks like the angle of the sun is
pretty high. (From the bright edge of the moon.)
But Scotland is at a much higher latitude than
I am, so I'd guess that explains the odd angles.

The horizon is tilted a bit at the bottom;
but angling it to horizontal would only make
the apparent elevation of the sun even higher.
Maybe this was taken in the early afternoon?
If so, then it's a really terrific moon shot
for that time of day. The sky color is eerie
and perfect.

The wolf, howling at the moon ........

A simple, evocative image.
