This photographic is fantastic. But it shows the late sixteenth-century towerhouse constructed by the Leslies of Balquain and the Regency period battlements instead of the palace of the medieval bishops of Aberdeen. For more info why not visit the website of the archaeological project?http://www.lamp.ac.uk/archanth/staff/dransart/fetternear.htm

It's amazing how you can change the character of a place by your photos. Brooding, dangerous, don't come near me. Compare this to the previous Bishops Palace photos.
Wonderful.

The turrets on our Louisiana Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge are like this. You may have seen them as the building sits on the River bank.

Amazing. Just found out where it is, passed nearby so often, never had an inkling there was anything as good looking as this so close.

I'll need to stop by next time I'm on my way North.

"Signs, signs, everywhere signs..."

Lovely looking ruin that really suits the black and white treatment.
