12th June 2005 canal cruise

Mrs N fancied a relaxing canal cruise,
I studied the guides for the best value version.
It can get a bit rowdy on Saturday nights in Amsterdam it seems.
And the rubbish collectors appear to have Sunday off.
Which means a few overflowing bins,
and the odd bit of junk thrown in the canal.
We caught the canal bus,
it means you can nip on and off as you like,
and see a few interesting sights along the way.
The cyclists can be a bit lethal.
They'd flatten you if you don't hop out of the way quickly.

They think of everything. Beds AND pillows for the drunks who fall in the canal... someone must have taken the spliff and matches though. :-)

And the Dutch are supposed to be so environmentally aware!

Not something you see everyday...well for the sake of the environment, one would hope not. :>)

The litter bug buggas!

What a shame about the litter. It does bring thoughts of some strange activity.

This one's tough to figure out. Maybe someone through their boyfriend's stuff out a window?

Hmmm? Wonder if I can float away on top of that.. and maybe pull the pillow aboard as well....
