Took a walk up to the stones this afternoon,
it was wild and wet.
I love this kind of windy weather,
and I was all wrapped up.
I stayed up there nearly an hour,
in the shelter of the biggest stone.
About 5000 years,
or nearly 200 generations ago,
a gang of about 90 people dragged pushed and levered this stone,
weighing 12 tons, into position.
These stones would mark the landscape indelibly,
a monument to the builders' beliefs.
Although these people are long gone,
their physical symbols still stand.
