16th October, Loch Lomond

Arrived home not long ago.
I was on holiday from 10th till today,
So you can look back at the last few days if you like.

I haven't stuck one up for the 12th October yet. I can't decide between one of Culzean Castle and one of an emu, I'll decide tomorrow!

It was a great drive home,
six hours including stops.
Tarbet, Loch Lomond, Killin, Loch Tay, Aberfeldy, then up the A93,
past Braemar, Ballater, then home.
Mountains, lochs, beautiful scenery. I can't remember when I enjoyed a drive more.
The last part was in the dark, through stormy showers.
We had Harry Potter book four being read out on tape in the car, so it all added to the atmosphere.
This picture is at the northern tip of Loch Lomond.

Having never seen a photo of...I have often wondered why this place was used in the song...now I see. What a great effect you captured on the water also.

Cathi and I drove from England to Edinburgh a couple of years ago while on vacation and I just loved the drive into Scotland. What fun!

I love the shimmery look to the water here. Nice picture...

I'll bet that was a stunning drive through all the autumn colours at this time of year.
A fitting end to your holiday, I hope. :)

Post the castle, after all I know where there is an emu farm not too far away from us! I have the directions if you have the time (or something like that)!

Nice one, Northy. Blissed out on the big piece of cake you had at Ettrick Bay!

God Bless North you have some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen.

Post the castle?:)

My daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, she would have enjoyed that.
