On a stormy day in the off season a mineral poacher takes a precious petrified stone from the protected park. The fine is huge but the rewards from polished stones is far greater.

Norma, You get the true feeling of the moment. Colors and all. I saw the Petrified Forest in 1952 when a young boy. I suspect the fine doesn't matter since most of the rock poachers don't have lots of money. Unless he was driving a Cadillac SUV. Fine painting and right down your style alley. Makes one feel there.
