The Crossing

Woodstock, Oxfordshire

Day 3

Dreary rotten horrible damp day today, but happy at least to be out of the office at lunchtime. Woodstock for lunch (picturesque Oxfordshire town), but such a Grey and dull light I decided to try something different - Candids!!
Well thats a big departure for me, never done this before, never had the bottle, but really quite enjoyed it.
Only an hour for lunch so found it all a bit hurried. Really not sure about this image, so gave it a de-sat treatment? My subject was far too quick (even with a walking stick). She got to the otherside before I snapped, would have been better if she was 3/4 the way across?

I intend to return to this subject during my PAD year to see if I can improve!
Thanks for visiting...

I love the blur and the slant and of course the leading lines.
I get a sense you really were chasing the old woman.
YOu stalker you. LOL

Brave man, doing candids ;o) I like the shot, there is a sense of speed with the blur at the bottom, amd it works well in B&W :o)

Thanks James, she was very quick! Got over before the green man started flashing. Obviously had a lot of Bananas for Breakfast!!

This works well, you'll just to be quicker next time and catch her 3/4 across:-)
I know what you mean about having the bottle for candis.

Neat idea to colour in just the green man!
