I am finally back after a bout with the flu and then trying to catch up with work and also plan for the holidays. I will be catching up with everyone's galleries over the next couple weeks.
This photo was taken in front of a neighborhood home where the owners go all out with decorating the house and yard with Christmas lights and ornaments every year. The children are encouraged to sit at this desk to write their letter to Santa. Once finished, they attach their letter to kind of clothes line with an elaborate pulley system that conveys their letter to a large mail bag next to Santa's sleigh that sits above the roof top. When the letter reaches the mail bag, it drops into the bag. When I was there the owner and his wife emerged from the house dressed as Santa and Mrs Claus. The children all lined up and took their turn sitting on Santa's lap to tell him what they were wishing for. Mrs. Claus then gave each child a candy.
