Bedroom in the Tempe Wick House, Morristown, NJ

During the Revolutionary War, the Wicks rented out most of their home and grounds to George Washington and his soldiers. The house took on the name of Mr. Wick's daughter, Temperance. It was said that Tempe hid her horse in the house for two weeks to prevent the Continental Army from taking it for their own use.
