Most of our snow cover had melted away after a brief warming trend, but New Year's eve morning brought us a fresh blanket of snow. It was just enough to cover the ground and most of the pond at our local park. I managed to get there in the late afternoon just before the light had completely faded.

Wonderful tones, great space and I love the pattern created by the thin spots in the ice.
A very peaceful scene with an overtone of the danger. ~V~

Nice winter shot but the ice looks a little thin out there. I hope you didn't try to skate on it.
