After a not so brief fiasco on a route climbers
right of ground zero, I bailed on a bolt, cleaned the gear,
and tied in at the bottom of this climb. Pitch 1 is
reasonably uneventful but a pleasure with good gear and some
nice climbing. We all (Kirsty, Steve, Laura - see next photos) relaxed on the
ledge for a few while I got ready to finish the climb. I was on the final
pitch for 13 minutes and brought the gang up while Steve ran out to the car
to ensure that I wouldn't get another ticket. Unknown to us he went to a
pizza place and proved that he is, in fact, god. We gorged ourselves on the
pizza under the street light and stars and drove home!!! It was a superb night
amongst close friends!
