Date is the first of March now, as it's past 12,
but I started this climb at about 4 on the last day of
February. My normal partner couldn't make it today and scrounging
up others was like doing brain surgery on fruit flies. I packed one
half rope, 4 screws, a couple draws and webbing, the regular ice stuff,
and got on my bike heading for the 403 falls. A few miles uphill on a
snowy and very bumpy trail I was here, at the base.
