Fields behind my house

Kuz Takhal, Peshawar, Pakistan

Taking presents for the bride from bridegroom's family to the bride's house just before the wedding day.
This is an old tradition, called 'brakha' in Pushto.
The presents are wrapped in a red colour fabric as a sign of happiness.
Red is the colour that brides wear, not white, as in the west.

Niaz Ali wrora, Asalaam,
Your message was private (so only I see it), but as this is the only way I have to communicate with you I will answer here. As to fixing spelling in your comments... I don't have a way a going into your comment and editing it. I can only hide it, or delete it (entire comment). As I am in the final copy editting stages of my book (Some Time On the Frontier) I know what you mean. But the eye usually reads over these small mistake and corrects them. As to 'joing', you've made up a new word. It works... a combination of 'join' and 'joining'. I used to do this in Pukhtu when I was learning. Like 'laq' and 'taqriban' became 'laqriban'. Always happy to hear from you, typo or not!

Look like these ladies (from Bridegroom's family) are going to the Bride's house taking presents for Bride just before the wedding day. This tradition is there from centuries and still being observed (we call it BRAKHA in Pushto). The presents are wrapped in a red color fabric as a sign of happiness.
I want to joing their party!
