Speaking of memories, how about the used bobbin 'snakes' used as insulation for the electric cords for the machine (you can see on hanging down from an outlet in the ceiling).

This brings backs so many memories. Of my first 'full-pant' as full length pants were called. And the sewing machines on the floor with the long snakes of bobbins from spent thread rolls. Nostalgia - how sweet!
