Haji Haleem Makoo (right) and Abdul Zahir Makoo (centre) are from Ghazni. They sold koochie (nomadic) embroideries at their shop in Kabul until the Soviet invasion forced them to move their familes to Peshawar in 1983. They were in the early wave of Afghan handicraft dealers to set up shop in Ander Sher, right off the Sunari (gold) Bazaar. The fellow on the left is a friend named Said Noor.
