Number One Smile

Peshawar City, Pakistan

This picture of G.M. Soofi (head of the Islamic Academy of Pakistan and dean of the Ideal Tuition Centre) on the roof of his then residence, The Hora Building, off Sikundra Pura in the old city. It was taken by my brother Mirza. The picture (and the smile) won him first place in the Crystal Toothpaste 'Number One Smile' of Pakistan contest!

A memorial to Professor G.M. Qureshi.... Soofi.... who passed on July 16th (2010) at age of 90 in Peshawar.
"You will be missed by so many, dear Soofi Sahib." Please remember him in your prayers.

Humayun... yes, unfortunately I know. I spent much happy time in Hora building with Soofi Sahib before it was demolished around 1987. Grana Soofi moved to Gul Bahar, and later to Gulbarg and then to Hayatabad. He is no more either. He passed less than a year ago (May Allah (swt) give him paradise).
