"We were led across the road by a young Pathan teahouse boy from Mardan, who had instantly latched on to me, to a restaurant where we could comfortably stay. Next to it was a grassy stone fenced meadow filled with trees belonging to WAPDA. We were able to secure its use after walking up the hill behind it and haggling with the old man who was the guardian of WAPDA’s transformer in Juglote."
