Lee & Carol wrote in Oct 2007 :
DAISY was custom-specified by experienced blue water sailors as their "Bahamas boat". In 1999, she found a home on Chesapeake Bay where she has been upgraded since 2002 to be a coastal-cruiser for 1-2 couples. The full cockpit enclosure dodger/bimini protects from sun and bad-weather and much extends the cruising season, often by months at either end.
We bought another great Mark Ellis design conceived by Jim Eastland, a Northeast 400 http://www.eastlandyachts.com/eynonsuch.htm to allow an elderly parent 'to stay on the water' and continue sailing with us. Thus DAISY regretfully is now for sale for US $155,000
REDUCED March '09 to US $ 149,000

Like all Nonsuches, the 354 is noted for its ease of handling for the single-hander, for speed, and for amazing spaciousness. The 354 exceeds many 38 foot boats in usable room, storage, and sailing. There is 67 headroom in the salon. The entire interior is very roomy. The hull is the same as the Nonsuch 33 but the 354 has a redesigned shallow keel with a winged bulb, a carbon fiber mast and wishbone boom, and stainless steel cabin top hand rails and bow pulpit. The hull is a yellow gelcoat with a white Awlgrip boot stripe. The cockpit is unusually large and comfortable with a fold-down cockpit table, 32 Whitlock rack & pinion steering and all of the instruments mounted at the helm.
DAISY may be the best 354 coastal cruiser on the water. Her generator, high-powered alternator, and battery banks permit her to cruise and anchor, even with the heat, microwave, or A/C running. All sail handling is easily done completely from the cockpit including reefing and unreefing. She has helm-mounted integrated radar/color chart plotter and hydraulic autohelm. Tides Marine Strong track, electric halyard winch, and double-line slab reefing leading back to the cockpit, and VHF RAM mic allow great ease single handing. Crew is for company, not for work. She reflects custom interior materials and design changes as well. These include a light finished ash interior and a large custom navigation station in place of the usual twin settee to strbd in the salon. DAISYs custom 60 gal. fuel and 130 gal. water tanks extend her range. Custom full cockpit enclosure dodger/bimini was installed for sun and bad-weather protection and extends the cruising season by months eash year. Major systems have been upgraded since 2002.
U-shaped galley to port at base of companionway ladder. Opposite to strbd is the enclosed 'guest' aft cabin with hanging locker and two drawers under the double berth. Fwd on port side is large settee with dining table supported by a custom wine/liquor cabinet. Behind the settee cushions is lots of storage. Fwd of the strbd aft cabin is the large navigation station with file cabinet, multiple drawers, chart storage, book shelf, storage cabinet, systems management controls and indicators, AM/FM/CD player, single sideband and VHF radios. Nav station seat and dinette upholstery is a durable contemporary tapestry fabric. Fwd of the port dinette settee is a writing table with a flip-up desk top and book shelf above. Forward of the strbd nav station is the large head with Corian counter and separate shower. The head is both accessed from the salon and the fwd cabin. The fwd cabin has a queen berth to port and a Corian counter to strbd with plenty of shelves and drawers. Two large drawers are under the berth. Two hanging lockers are located in the fwd bulkhead. Task, general, and path lighting are installed throughout.
