False alarm forecasts about Hurricane Bill two weeks and one week prior scared many boats away in 2009 who otherwise would have attended. The real weather and the "actual" daily weather reports showed GREAT weather and sailing conditions ALL that weekend.

It never blew over 15 kts and was mostly sunny, hot, and often blowing 10 kts or less.
