Katie Bradford who owns Custom Marine Canvas/HOOD Sails gave an EXCELLENT presentation on selection and care of canvas, sail covers, interior & cockpit cushions, and sails.

Jim Blanchard from H&H Propeller gave a tour de force seminar about fixed, folding and feathering props . . . which, what, why plus use and maintenance. The Q & A period was extra helpful to a number of of the boat crews and informative for all. Jim and H&H also gave any of those at the meeting VERY generous discounts for buying new props, which saved several hundreds and a couple almost a thousands of dollars for each who took advantage ! ! !

Dennis from DePaul Diesel provided all with great general information about diesels and much specific information realted to the various makes & models of diesels in owners' boats. Extending the life of existing engines and repowering were topics of much interest. Again, the Q & A session was very useful.

Bob Todd gave a fascinating, educational, and truly impressive presentation on the refurbishment of LAZY BONES 30C that he and Donna did after buying her. About the only things they did not replace or significantly upgrade were the mast, boom, hull and deck !

Arthur thanked Bob & Donna and Jim & Sharon for being great hosts and organizing an excellent Social, the East Greenwich Yacht Club for the wonderful facilities, the caterer for the fine lunch, and all for their participation. All were wished bon voyage home and the meeting adjourned.
