Adapted two large paint stir sticks (for 5 gal. paint pails) to create convenient electrical connections busses for the mast. It is hung vertically from a screw at the top and has a zip-tie at the bottom thta hold each in place during the sailing season. It is solidly attached and does not move. When the mast is stepped/unstepped, I can just cut the zip-ties and move each paint-stick-buss assembly onto the forward cabin berth to remove/attach contacts.
PTP (Prior-To-Paintstick) I had to schedule, in advance, an appointment at the Chiropractor in anticipation of wedging my 6'4" frame, backwards and upside down between the bulkheads so I could access the old wiring buss.
This buss accommodates radar, wind instrument and hailer contacts. The other similar 'buss stick' on the opposite side accommodates all the wiring for the mast lights.
