We ended up having 18 people in attendance. Ernie Simon had too much homework from his 2 day navigation seminar at the Strictly Sail Chicago show. He had to be prepared for Sunday and could not join us.

Everyone had a wonderful time meeting each other! Dinner was delayed by the crowd in the dining room and that worked to the advantage of our Social. The manager gave us a free round of drinks as we waited for our tables. We got acquainted and shared stories. As expected, this was basically a Greater Chicago Flotilla and South Shore Flotilla gathering. Boat hailing ports extended from north of Chicago in Racine WI down and across the south shore and up to Muskegon MI.

One special exception was the crew of COOL CHANGE 36 68 , Linda & David Armstrong. Her hailing port is Muskegon MI in the East Shore Flotilla. David advised us that Linda was the one who really wanted to meet the other Nonsuch crews so they agreed to drive from their home EAST of Cincinnati OH . . . miles.

The Armstrongs won Longest Distance Traveled !

Interest seems strong to do other things so planning for a Sail-In and/or Rendezvous will begin soon. Such will be hosted by the Greater Chicago Flotilla and South Shore Flotilla.

A Social in Charlevoix MI or Harbor Springs MI will be held in the early spring and will kick off plans for the sailing season amidst the North East Flotilla. This is next on our list.
