The "lever arm" provided by the 16 in / 40 cm length of the tool from bit to handle makes using this very easy even with a very heavy load on a winch. Greatly helps prevent the handle being twisted out of one's grip.
A custom safety strap/carrying lanyard is strongly recommended as these things sink just as fast as do most winch handles if dropped over the side !
Try to find a factory reconditioned drill at CPOMilwaukee.com I bought an 18 volt model there a few years ago for $240.00 It was just before Milwaukee came out with their 28 volt tools.

Arthur ... I do not know how to get this into NONSUCH L@SERV ... attached are 3 pics of my holder for winch bit right angle drill ... old winch handle part fits in an adjacent winch ... lanyard on a cleat secures and stops holder/rad from moving ... I think the 28v Milwaulkee right angle drill is great ... my bracket steadies the drill and saves wear and tear on the powered winch by the hardened drive bit ... the list chatter in the last week about the drill woke me up ... went to LUFF AFFAIR and here are the pics ...
