creator of NONSUCH . . . Gordon Fisher R.I.P.

Gordon N. Fisher . . . yachtsman, seaman, innovator, international sailing champion, a business leader, a Commodore of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, and the man who conceived the idea and the design and then caused NONSUCH to be brought to life in July 1978 with NAIAD to follow in 1985.

Thanks to Derek Fisher, Gordon's son, we have herewith some photos from prized family albums. Through these photos, we can all enjoy while we honour the memory of Gordon Fisher and the legacy to all in NONSUCH . . . past, present, and future . . . of Gordon Fisher.

I had the privilege of crewing with Gordon on his Soling in the spring of 1970 when I had just arrived in Canada from the UK at the tender age of 22. Gordon was a Gentleman with a capital G. Thank you for these photographs and happy memories.

Hi Arthur,
Great photos , they bring back the memories. I raced against most of those boats and sailed on MIRAGE with Fisher in the '72 Canada’s Cup. I really enjoyed sailing with him and I always thought that he was a great guy.
I have been to San Diego and Fort Lauderdale twice in the last two months looking after Tony Zwig’s boat.
I had a great time at your party.
