Walter bought his 30U in 2008. During the winter of 2009/2010 he had her totally refitted, inside and out at Northshore Boatworks in Oakville ON.

Chester NS and Lunenburg NS are two very special towns in Atlantic Canada on the shores of Mahone Bay in NS. Walter was born in Lunenburg and grew up in Chester. The famous BLUENOSE "sailing on a silver sea" on every Canadian 10 cent coin was built in and hailed from Lunenburg. The same is true of BLUENOSE II .
