The comments about Jack are a total fabrication of none other than a sore loser,and obviously not a gentlemen. Jack won in Boston with an old sail, but one that had very little use. Jack is not known for going racing with out being prepaired. The new sail used in Newport was very fast. Jack clearly did not invent Nonsuch saiing. But if Results count for anything he is hardly laughable.....

We sailed against this guy in Boston and this time last year in Newport. Clearly a good sailor but what a blowhard. Losing after two days of sailing last year, most people noticed and commented how he was like a sad dog dragging his long face around the place. He'd won in Boston with a very old sail and was saying his new sail was very fast. Right. Boats with old sails from various sail makers were beating "his" sail. When he won after the last day, you'd think he'd invented Nonsuch sailing. Heard there is a couple where he sails who beat him as often as he beats them and their sail is good but older but still beats his MAGIC JACK sail. This guy is laughable.

Bearcat"s Hull Identification No. in the stern shows the boat being built in 1981, not 1980. In addition the "Buyers Closing Statment, and Bill of sale Dated Sept 12, 2000, from Eastland Yachts, also shows the boat as being built in 1981...In the interest of accuracy, this comment is made.......

Jack Lombard underwent surgery on Jan 27th 09. The result was not good. Jack will undergo surgery on August 13th at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. This is the best hospital, with the best Doctors...Jacks condition is complicated,so we can only hope for the best. Bearcat is spending the Summer in the Yard....

Looks like from the decade he lived in Essex, that Arthur knows that I sailed IC's in Frostbiting at Essex CT for 15 years. I purchased my IC from Dr. Ames, Allen Ames father. In my opinion, the IC gave me a leg up on getting my 30 up to speed....fast. My son, a very skilled sailor, also sailed IC's at Larchmont YC, and was one of the top sailors in that extremely competitive Frostbite fleet. We both sailed the same types of boats. Stars were and are an exceedingly competitive class. I've been fortunate to have won numerous regattas, against an average of 40 boats, but my son is a 2 time Atlantic Coast Star Champion. If the trend continues, he will be sailing a Nonsuch someday. Maybe, BEARCAT ! ! ! ! Jack
