The storm came from the south. We sat outside the tent watching the spectacular
lightning display until large raindrops began to fall and a bolt hit the summit
of Rock mountain just above us. Then wind and rain lashed the tent as we huddled
inside. A sudden flash and explosion -- when we dared to peek out, this nearby
clump of trees was ablaze.
