I was so afraid of the robot Gort in The Day the Earth Stood Still. When that little beam of light would come out of the slit where his eyes should be I would tremble. The kids today were bored and tried to play in the 9 degrees of warmth we had. I could have used Gort to come and make them be more civilized with each other like he did in 1951.
