Octoberfest in Iceland
This is the tent where beer would soon flow freely.
Take note that it is right in front of the Main Building on campus.
Keg tapping was set for 12 noon, and you could have set your watch by it. |

I like to be early for things. |

The kegs that will soon be literally tapped by the German Ambassador. |

Hello Friends. |
 |

This is the clamoring for tickets. |

For the first 50 students to show up, you got a mug and a deck of peanuts.
Yes, my mug is still intact and in my room. |

Things are starting to pick up. |

The keg has been tapped by the Ambassador, and he is now filling the mugs.

This is me with the German Ambassador.
On the left is the University of Iceland Rector...kind of like the President.
I always enjoy seeing him, because he is so disheveled all the time. |

As long as I was talking to the Ambassador, it was free beer for me.
I can drink fast and talk louder in situations like that. |

Here is Heatherīs "official" picture with the Ambassador. |

Our buddy Simon and some other German students with the Ambassador. |

Me, Simon, and some funky dude on the left.
Nice chops. |

Simon and Heather. |

Me and Simon again. |

Simon...relax man, have a beer. Good times will follow. |

This is Uli, me, and Jean-Mi.
That also unintentionally rhymes. |

Donīt tell the Republicans, but here I am with both a French AND a German. |

Uli, me, and Simon. |

Cheers!...or whatever the hell they say in German. |

As the day wore on it became darker, I was actually a little surprised to see the Main Building lit up in festive colors. |

The party is happening now! |
