January 14 - How to Read a Book

I bet you can't do THIS with your Kindle (not that you'd want to)
This was on the floor of a store display.

1/30s f/3.3 at 4.1mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I've done this then shredded the pages. That's what you do when you have about 10 boxes in a basement that got flooded. This is an excellent find and capture, Neal! \/

well that's one way to do it! :) Nicely observed & captured, Neal.

I love books too much to do this and even though I have a Nook, I still like to feel the book in my hands and turn the pages.. I do hope this is not a bookstore.

Hmmm... vote is still out for me. I haven't tried it yet (Kindle). Love the compostion of your photo but not sure i'd want to do this with my books either.

I like it! I can't get excited about reading books on a computer or E-tablet.

Looks as effective as pressing the delete button though! Nicely composition!

Fahrenheit 450, they just tear them up instead of burning them! Being an avid reader I hate seeing this but it happens, and, they aren't mine! I may someday look into getting a Kindle but I doubt it, I have hundreds of books and buy new every chance I get.

Are they trying to say that books are a thing of the past?
I love my Kindle but I cannot imagine that books could ever be replaced completely!

It makes for an interesting display but I can't imagine doing that with a book
no matter how much I disliked it.
