Long afternoon driving and chasing "Miss Katy"... It was running early, I think, and I almost missed it coming into Santa Rosa... I was headed east to a bridge about 20 miles east and only got 2 miles east and here she is... Dirty and needing a bath...First 3 photos were pacing shots at 75mph on I-40. Next were some shots in the Santa Rosa Cut, next I ran 80mph down to Pastura, where I got a few more, then down to another spot about 2 miles north of Vaughn, shot a few more, then down through Vaughn in a snowstorm, which lasted about 30 minutes.. Waited out west of town at the US60 bridge over the UP tracks for the crew change, which usually takes an hour... The last photos were of UP1988, leaving Vaughn for El Paso...down the rest of the Golden State Route.
