SH2-140

Sh2-140 is a faint emission nebula in the constellation of Cepheus. In this deep image it is apparent that Ha emissions are present over almost the entire frame.

exposure details

18 hours, 36x30 minute sub exposures
abour 90 min RGB in 10 minute subs (only used to add colour to stars)

Image processing in PixInsight and Adobe Photoshop CS3E.

The Ha was used as the luminescence channel and a starless version of the Ha signal was also blended into the red channel (approx 40%) and also the blue channel (10%) to simulate the Hb emission line
