Sh2-232 is a rather dim and diffuse emission nebula in the constellation of Auriga, about 3 degrees northeast from IC405 (the flaming star nebula), a much more famous and often imaged nebula. Sh2-232 is the large central nebula in this image, the two other nebula in the field are Sh2-235 (left) and Sh2-231(right). If you look closely two tiny planetary nebula are also visible, one almost directly underneath the brightest star in the centre of SH2-232 and one underneath Sh2-235

FLT110 @F5.2 on AP900 mount, guided with Megrez 80mm@F7 and DSIproII
Exposure details:
16x30 min sub exposures using a Baader 7nm Halpha filter
Calibration frames:12 dark frames, 25 bias frames and 7 flat frames
Seeing moderate
