55 Chev gasser of Ken MacKenzie facing off with Chapman Hoglund. 1968. The early days of SIR a number of Winnipeg cars made the trek. Ken's legal E/Gas car ran in D/Altered that year. Car was NHRA Div 5 Comp Eliminator champion and raced at NHRA World Finals in Tulso, OK. Les Howard helped cover some of our travel expenses. In 1973 was Modified Eliminator winner of Western Canadian Gas Championship. Always was a pleasure to race at SIR.
