Margaret was a dear friend of Carol Melton, my dear friend who provided me with this lovely photo and owns the copyrights to both the photo and this painting. Margaret was 80-something when she passed away recently, and this painting is in loving memory of a very special lady.

What can I say! I am overwhelmed at this. You knew just what to put in and what to know what was not important. Your palette is so strong. That tells me this lady never lost her strenth of character or the gleam in her eyes. Bravo Nita! Big Vote!!! I know you have other things grabbing your attention beyond painting, but God can you ever paint a portrait!

What a lovely lady! I think I've said this before, but her gentle smile reminds me of our Grandma C. Very well-done, Neets... you painted her soul.
