While the seal has hold of another tentacle, here are a few facts about the Giant Pacific Octopus...

They have 9 brains and 3 hearts, adults can weigh from 22-110 lbs and be 29.5 feet from one end of a tentacle to the end of another.
If a tentacle goes missing, the octopus will grow another in its place.
Octopus wrestling used to be a popular sport in Washington State until it was outlawed!

Have you seen My Octopus Friend? A very interesting movie. I had no idea there was something called Octopus wrestling...glad it has been outlawed.

A sad situation but Mother Nature isn't always happy. Great documentation!

The 9 brains are not going to outsmart the seal. V

excellent shot...it looks like the seal is winning after all...that's a lot of brains the octopus has, you'd think enough to avoid predators...

Great shot, and quite a mouthful for this seal!

Wow ! that is interesting - I had no idea an octopus could get that big. I guess the gull is hoping for a bitten off tentacle ! V
