(an excerpt from a much longer poem)

FLYING GEESE

You’ve seen them flying high,
strong wind at their back
with wing power fueled by
seed and grass and air.

In perfect harmony with your wild goose clan
the strength of wings and heart
invites you skyward,
higher and higher
as a rush of air teases each tender feather,
thrills your flight across the sky at night,
a full moon luminous at your side.

Well done! I thought it a kind of cool pattern of dew drops on a spider web from the thumb, opened it up, and saw what it really is.

Amazing shot with the geese well lit against that dark, dramatic sky.

They look like they're heading somewhere far. 'Tis terrific how they've caught the light against the dark sky.
