WINTER LIGHTS

In a time of wet and windy dark,
rain sends bright drops
to light the way for seed-wings
who cling to mother-tree beyond their time.

“Let go, let go,”
whispers the wet and windy dark,
“we have prepared for you a moist and fertile earth
from which to grow.”
