I've been experimenting with little stories or poems to go with photos - here's my first one

LICHEN MUSIC:

She googled, she googled some more, and came up with Lecanora conizaeo, Rhiizoplaca chrysoleuca, Lichenochora haematommetu, Double-rim Saucer lichen, and Ochrolechia Oregonenesis. None a perfect ID.

She gave up, realizing it was, as she'd thought all along, the score to a woodland symphony with notes shown on an eight-line staff instead of five. But where were the musicians? Was the music right there for her to hear in that moment by just looking at the notes?

Looks like they can move around the staff on their own and create their own music. V

a flurry of notes from your dancing motes...or spilled out from carts like sweet butter tarts..
