the stuff of nightmares. a visit to the bug and butterfly museum in the Daintree. thousands and thousands of dead bugs and butterflies (I didn't even want to imagine their hovering ghosts). all i could think was that i wished the collector had had a fine camera on his trips around the world to photograph all the wonderfully exotic insects on display, and then shared a stunning gallery of his finds instead of mass murder.
