young shoots on the river bank

a lot's been said about this fast growing plant (3 ft a month) - Japanese Knotweed - the dreaded invader, prolific, noxious, bad-for-the world, the sky-is-falling weed, illegal in some countries. well, it's edible! found a recipe for Japanese Knotweed bread (and other things) online! bees make great honey from late fall blooms.
