Kadzengo Day Centre

Kadzengo Day Centre was started by a couple of local volunteer teachers 4 months ago. In the intervening time they have attracted approximately 80 children aged from 2 to 12 who have nowhere else to go. Their parents do not have the means to buy books and other equipment and uniform that is required for attendance at the local school. This day centre has no roof, no eqipment and no help from anyone. The day I visited was the first time the children have seen a white person, despite the fact that a 400 bedroom hotel (Sun and Sand, Kikambala) is 5 minutes drive away. I was in the area just one week and tried to do whatever I could to help. Now I'm back I shall continue with my efforts to get these children get the help they so desperately need.
