Roger: Would you mind if I used a download of your photo of the Holyhead milestone broken into miles and furlongs? This is for one-time, non-commercial use to illustrate signs in the U.K. that still legally use the furlong for distance. Thank you. -D.S.

Helo Roger,
I note with interest that you have posted a number of views of East Stratton and that you are related to the shopkeeper. I have lived in the village for the past 15 year and have taken an interest in its history. I have 2 old images of the shop which I am hoping you may be able to shed some light on. One is of a man and his cycle infront of the shop which I beleive is Mr Bailey. The other is of a man and boy in the garden next to the shop. The man I beleive is again Mr Bailey but I have no idea who the boy is.
I email an image to you if you would be happy to help.
with best wishes
Patrick
