Actually I shot this on Mar 29 for another contest : Yellow. My intention was to show how a single directional light can affect colours.

To set up this shot, I used a yellow transluscent plastic plate, sort of frisbee like. Then I raided my son's old toys cabinet and found a figurine of Pikachu, the legendary Japanese cartoon character. I then place the figurine and plate over a reading lamp. Closed all windows and rooms lights with the exception of the reading lamp. Then..voila.

Since I did not use flash, I had to mount the camera on a tripod to avoid camera shake.

All in all, I took about 30 shots, with and without flash, even using slow sync for certain shots. But the best is still without flash.
