The former governor, railroad magnet and founder of Stanford University built this Victorian, which has been recently restored. It is a very difficult shot, in that it is large, and it is not possible to get far enough away from it. It is an amazing structure, but even more amazing is the contrast with the modern high rise buildings behind it. I ended up taking the shot from the middle of the street, outside the fence.
This required heavy processing, including correction for barrel distortion and vertical perspective distortion, and shadow.highlight enhancement, all done with Photoshop CS2.
