This is my first try at texturizing. The only difference is that I used a black and white image of the baby as my main subject and of course a different background.

As the baby was originally in black and white, I needed to colourize it. I change the working mode from RGB to greyscale. Then this is changed once again to duotone. Those of you who are familiar with duotones will know that we can select one colour to represent black, and a different colour to represent white.

I then sampled the background layer (the brown texture layer) and used a darkest brown to substitute for all the blacks in the baby image. I re-sampled a lighter brown tone and use this to substitute for all the whites in the image. Once done, I did a slight jue/saturation adjustment on the baby image to get the final tones that I wanted.

Then the baby image is converted from duotones back to RGB. All un-necessary background is then erased and the edges soften.

The rests of the steps as in the earlier Sofea image are then applied.
