Dallas' newest attraction, the bridge spanning the Trinity River, just north of the downtown area.
The bridge spans almost 1200 feet across the river floodplain, and the center support arch is 400 feet tall.
The bridge was named after Margaret Hunt Hill, daughter of oil magnate H L Hunt. Unfortunately she died at 91 just a few days prior to the groundbreaking for the bridge.
One of the purposes of the bridge, in addition to alleviate traffic, is to open the area of west Dallas to development.
